About Drone Photo Québec
A small Québec City business. One person responsible for every flight: William Landry.
Owner and pilot
William Landry
William holds a commercial pilot licence for airplanes, with multi-engine and instrument ratings. He trained at CFAQ in Lévis.
He comes from a family of aviators going back several generations. Flight preparation, weather and airspace are part of his job.
Before aviation, he worked in construction at Construction RICAR and at Clôtures Sauvageau. He knows construction sites and the constraints contractors face.
He founded Drone Photo Québec to give local brokers and contractors aerial images delivered quickly, at a published price.
Airplane licence and drone rules: the difference
A commercial airplane pilot licence does not replace Transport Canada's drone requirements. Drone flights follow their own rules: drone pilot certificate, drone registration, NAV CANADA authorization in controlled airspace, and insurance. We fly only when all of these conditions are met.
